BCP Continues to Support Charity Organisations in 2019

As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Policy, BCP has chosen to support a number of charities who deal with poverty and homelessness this Christmas.

BCP contributed for the 12th year to the House of Cards Appeal for Christmas to the Dublin Simon Community, which will be used to provide food, shelter and permanent supported housing to those who need it most. 

Each year we support community-based charities such as Colaiste Bride, they provide many families with food and funds during the Christmas period. We also donated to the Sue Ryder Foundation, St. Francis Hospice, Bayside Scouts and the Youth Work Ireland Galway. Throughout the year, we also focused on Children’s charities; we donated to the National Maternity Hospital, the Children’s Medical Research Foundation and, Crumlin Children’s Hospital. Other donations included the Irish Wildlife Trust, the RNLI and, the Clydagh/Kilbeg Development Association.

BCP had a volunteering day out at the Wicklow SPCA, where we helped the team at the Sharpeshill Sanctuary.  We also donated to the charity for the prevention of cruelty to animals. BCP also held a coffee morning for the Irish Cancer Society for their ‘Cups for Cancer’ appeal and spent the day bag packing in Dunnes Stores for Down Syndrome Ireland.

The Syrian refugee crisis continued again this year and BCP made contributions to both Unicef and Oxfam who were directly helping with this crisis.

BCP sent some One4All vouchers to Merchants Quay Ireland, which was used to buy food and supplies for their Homeless and Drug Rehabilitation Centre.
